About Us

Cancer Council of Ellis County is an independent agency organized in the spring of 1986.

The goals of the Cancer Council include:

    Delivering services and programs to
    cancer patients and families

    Educational programs and materials
    for professional and lay people

    Resources on cancer prevention,
    early detection, treatment, and survival

The mission of the Cancer Council of Ellis County is to provide services to individuals and families affected by cancer and to provide education about cancer to the general public. The Board of Directors is composed of four officers and five members at-large, with five advisory board members. The Cancer Council also has an executive director and many volunteers. Volunteers keep the office open, work in service areas, work with support groups, and help with fund raising.
